The Remote Database module manages remote database profiles. To be able to use a remote database in a project, it is necessary to create the corresponding remote database profile. Creating a profile implies establishing a connection to the actual remote database and importing its structure, fully or partially, as required. You can create profiles in this module (see Creating a Remote Database Profile), in the Remote Database tab of the project's properties window and in most of the remote database related processes (see Remote Database).

No matter where they are created, the Remote Database module displays all the profiles being used in the current project.

Access a shortcut menu by right-clicking an existing database profile.

Use this right-click menu to:

	Create a remote database profile (connection). See Creating a Remote Database Profile.
	Retrieve a remote database's structure (tables). See Getting a Remote Database's Structure.
	Import specific tables from the selected remote database. See Getting a Remote Database's Structure.
	Refresh the data from imported tables. See Refreshing Imported Tables.
	Delete the selected remote database profile. See Deleting a Remote Database.
	Edit the selected remote database's profile connection. See To Edit a Remote Database Profile.

Access this shortcut menu by right-clicking the empty space of the "Remote Database" module.

Use this menu to:

Add a new remote database profile. See Creating a Remote Database.

Access this shortcut menu by right-clicking a previously imported table.

This menu allows you to:

	View the structure and data of the imported table you selected. See Viewing a Table's Structure/Data.
	Refresh the data of the imported table you selected. See Refreshing an Imported Table.
