Overview
Products such as MCL-Client or MCL-Net require a license that includes a finite number of license units to be installed/activated in a device or PC/server. For instance, in order to run MCL applications in your devices, you must register an MCL-Client license in MCL-License Manager and activate a license unit of that MCL-Client license in a device.
MCL-License Manager is the cloud-based platform where you manage the (perpetual) licenses of your MCL products. It allows you to:
•check an MCL license's current status (ex: if it is active or has been canceled),
•view information on the license itself (ex: part name/number, version number),
•check how many license units of a particular license are still free,
•view information on the device with an active license unit of an MCL product license.
•activate MCL-Client license units. Refer to the MCL-License Manager User Guide for more details on this activation alternative to MCL-Loader.
Each time a (perpetual) MCL license is acquired, you receive an email with license details and a direct link to MCL-License Manager so you can register that license.
When you purchase a (perpetual) license for an MCL product for the first time, you MUST create an MCL-License Manager account where you will register that (perpetual) license. See Creating an Account in MCL-License Manager.
Once you have an account, you can decide to register any future license(s) in the same MCL-License Manager account (just access the platform and log in) OR create a different account for specific licenses (when accessing the platform, create a new account) - you can organize your MCL-License Manager accounts/license registration to best suit your needs.
For instance, you may want to group the MCL-Client license units/devices of a specific site in one MCL-License Manager account and have another account to register/manage the license units that have been installed in the devices of another site/facility.
Be aware that when you register a license in MCL-License Manager, you are registering a company as the owner of the license.
Each end-user company should have its own MCL-License Manager account.
Once the license is registered to an account, it CANNOT be moved into another account.
For more details on each possibility, see:

In the case of MCL-Client, after registering the license, you can activate its license units in the intended devices with the use of MCL-Loader. See How to Activate a Product License in a Device.
