Duplicating a Report

Overview

 

A Report can be duplicated. Operationally speaking, it is another method to create a report with all the settings and parameter values already filled in.

This action is performed in the "Report Management" page.

 

 

Step-by-step

 

1. Access the "Report Management" page (Admin Dashboard > Control Panel > Business Analytics module > Reporting sub-module > Report Management page).

2. Select the report to duplicate and click Duplicate Button_Header.

The page is already set to edit mode.

 

3. Edit the duplicate counter, as needed and save your edition with the Save Button_Header option.

 

Note

Consider the following when you edit the duplicate report:

 

Some templates have more than one version. The difference between versions is mainly related to the available fields/parameters.

Verify the template version's fields/parameters to make sure the version you select will return the data you need.

 

The duplicate's name is the same as the original report plus "_copy".

We recommend you define a report name that provides some context to the returned information.

 

The Apply button Reports option ONLY affects the current data display in the "Data" section - it is a temporary operation. To permanently save your changes, you MUST click the Save Button_Header button.
