Overview

The "Business Analytics" module (located in the "Control Panel" section) relates to the management of specific values/data (known as metrics) which are sent by the devices/MCL application(s) to the MCL-Mobility Platform account.

These metrics represent the activity of the operator handling the MCL application and are very useful to evaluate operator performance, work load evolution, sales increase/decrease, etc.

For instance, in a warehouse environment, these values can refer to the number of picks per operator or the number of assignments per shift - the analysis of these numbers can lead to informed decisions on that warehouse's task/operator management.

When received, these metrics are processed using statistic operations ("event count", "sum", "average", "min", "max") and aggregated by time stamp. It is the result of those operations that is stored/grouped into buckets and available for use by the counters and dashboards.

The counters are the entities that consolidate the metrics' statistic results. They are created at account level and made available for every site.

The dashboards provide the visibility for the information sent by the MCL application/devices. Dashboards can be created at account and/or site level. The ones created at account level are available to every site in the account.

You can use one or multiple widgets to display the available values/data (meaning, the results of the statistic operations based on the received metrics).

The "Business Analytics" module includes the "Counters", "Dashboards" and "Reporting" sub-modules:

The "Counters" sub-module provides access to the counters created at account level so the processed metrics that are communicated to the MCL-Mobility Platform by the MCL applications/devices can be used, at site level, in dashboards/widgets.

The "Dashboards" sub-module relates to the management of dashboards and widgets - to create, edit or delete the intended dashboards/widgets.

The "Reporting" sub-module provides reports with device information and other MCL-Mobility Platform master data (list of operators, device groups, etc.).

Reports are created/managed at account level and can be accessed by each site in their "Reporting" sub-module.

The "Business Analytics" module is ONLY available if the subscription includes the "Business Analytics" service.

In the "Control Panel", click Business Analytics Button to access the related sub-modules - "Counters" and "Dashboards".
