If this option is not used at site level but there is a device name prefix at account level, the name of the paired devices will adopt the prefix set within the account. |
Update device name on move |
If the option is checked, it means that any device that is moved from another site to this one will have its original name replaced with the defined prefix. If unchecked, the device that is moved into this site keeps its original name. |

Within the MCL-Mobility Platform environment, the "qualification" feature is used to identify entities with a compatible purpose/development stage. Qualifications are attributed to sites, applications, configurations and profiles.
Depending on the "qualification" assigned to an entity, the platform will filter the options so it only provides access to other compatible entities.
Ex: Sites with the qualification "production" are part of the customer's day-to-day activities and cannot be used to test applications (that is to say, use applications with a "development" qualification). This way, "production" qualified sites will only have access to applications with the qualification "production" (tested/complete MCL applications) so there is no disruption of the daily working environment because of testing.
The entities that are created/added to a site inherit that site's qualification.
There are 4 different qualifications:
Production - for the virtual entities that represent/are used within a customer's "physical" facilities, in a working environment, meaning, these entities are used in day-to-day tasks. This is the most restrictive qualification. The interaction/association is only between entities qualified as "production".
Acceptance - for virtual entities that mimic the customer's operations but are only used for specific testing.
Test - for virtual entities with general testing purposes.
Development - for virtual entities to be used during application development with MCL-Designer. Entities with this qualification have the broadest access, they can view every qualified entity regardless of its qualification.
Qualification Management
•The account administrator is the ONLY platform user that can qualify entities or edit their qualification.
•The site manager and/or site user (with the proper access rights) can use all the available entities that are compatible with his site (ex: applications, configurations, etc.) BUT, he CANNOT edit/delete any entity that was created at account level and is accessible to all the sites in the account.
•Depending on the entity that the account administrator restricts to a site, the site manager/site user (with the proper access rights) may be able to edit some of that entity's details.
•A site's qualification is defined when it is created by the account administrator (at account level) and CANNOT be edited by its site manager/site users (with the proper access rights).
•Every uploaded application and/or created configuration/profile inherits its qualification from the site it is included in - the qualification is NOT editable, at site level.
•The qualification of sites, applications, configurations and profiles ensures that each entity can ONLY view/handle other entities that are compatible.
Check the compatibility between each site qualification and other entities/qualifications below:

•"Production" sites ONLY handle applications, configurations and profiles with a "Production" qualification.
•"Acceptance" sites have "Acceptance" and "Production" qualified applications, configurations and profiles at their disposal.
•Sites with a "Test" qualification can access applications, configurations and profiles with a "Test", "Acceptance" or "Production" qualification.
•"Development" qualified sites can handle all applications, configurations and profiles regardless of its qualification.
