Development Stations
Overview
The "Development Stations" sub-module (Control Panel > External Systems > Development Station) is used, specifically, to manage MCL-Designer subscriptions (a license type). This sub-module allows you to add, edit and/or delete an entity (= development station) that represents your MCL-Designer subscription.
MCL-Designer is a software development tool that allows you to create applications to be used on devices. MCL-Designer can be integrated into MCL-Mobility Platform, via a development station that represents the MCL-Designer subscription (a license that is active during a specific time period) which is associated to a specific product. For more information, see Adding a Development Station.

Display Filters
Drop-down that allows you to filter the listed servers:
<Select> - every development station created at account and site level is viewed.
<Account> - displays the development stations created at Account level.
<Site Name> - only displays the development stations from the selected site.
Buttons that filter the development station display according to their "enabled" and/or "disabled" status.
There are two columns (to the left of the "Development Station Name" column) which provide status information on the corresponding development station via specific icons.

|
= status "Unpaired" - the development station is NOT associated to any MCL-Designer subscription. |

In case of multiple selection, the selected development stations MUST have the same status, otherwise the button will NOT become active. See Changing a Development Station's Status.
Generates a pairing key in file format (an "*.mcfg" file) for the pairing of the selected development station (button ONLY available in case of a single selection).
When a development station is created/added in the MCL-Mobility Platform, a pairing key is, automatically, generated and it is used to pair an MCL-Designer V4 instance in a PC to that development station in the MCL-Mobility Platform. That pairing key is provided by the MCL-Mobility Platform in a file format.
Once you have selected the intended development station, click Save/place the "DesReg_<account number>_<site reference>_<development station name>.mcfg" file (ex: DesReg_6116120049_SIT-3_Dev_Station_Lisbon.mcfg) in MCL-Designer's installation folder.
Refer to the MCL-Designer User Guide for information on the subscription activation steps to be executed in the MCL-Designer application. |
