User Profile Details
Overview
User profiles are only managed, at account level, in the "User Profiles" sub-module. This sub-module is only available in MCL-Mobility Platform accounts with an active/in use OpenID Authentication method ("External System (OpenID Connect)" MUST be the default method - it is defined in the "Account Details" sub-module - "Authentication" tab. See Editing Account Details - Authentication Tab).
The "User Profile Details" page displays information about the selected user profile (= a profile used to link MCL-Mobility Platform to a user role generated in an external authentication provider via mapping. See Account Details - The OpenID Connect Settings Page.).
To access the details of a specific user profile, go to the Admin Dashboard's "Control Panel", click and, then, select
.
Click the name of the user profile (displayed in light blue) to open the corresponding "User Profile Details" page.
This page includes a right and a left panel.
This panel displays the role attributed to the user profile and the site or sites that this profile can access.
There are 9 possible user roles (Account Administrator, Site Manager, Site Supervisor, MDM Manager, Device Manager, Operator Manager, Deployment Manager, Configuration Manager and Custom User) which can be attributed to a user profile.
Each role has predefined access rights, except for the "custom user" role whose rights can be customized to perform operational tasks.
Account administrator roles have full access to the account and all its sites. A site manager role has full access to his assigned sites.
As for the other roles, they can be associated to one or more sites and the access rights attributed to them (displayed in the "Module Access Rights" section) apply equally to all of them.
The right panel displays 2 sections:
•"Internal Role" - Displays the role in the MCL-Mobility Platform that has been associated to the current user profile.
•"Sites" - displays the sites that the current user profile is associated to.
The number attached to each section represents the number of sites and modules that the current user profile has access to, respectively.
Use the arrows to the right to expand/collapse the corresponding section:
The content of the right panel is adapted to the selected user profile's role so, open the links below to check the information that is provided for each role.
